Operating within an ITIL service framework, the Project Manager ensures that all projects enhance reliability, scalability, and business value. This role reports directly to the Senior Manager, IT Operations & PMO.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead project teams from scope definition through successful implementation and closure.
- Develop project artifacts such as Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project plans, communication strategies, test plans, and implementation schedules.
- Monitor and manage budgets, schedules, risks, and dependencies to ensure project success.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as the primary liaison among internal stakeholders, technical leads, developers, business analysts, and third-party vendors.
- Conduct and facilitate key project meetings, including kick-off sessions, weekly status updates, and close-out reviews.
- Provide timely, clear, and actionable communication on project progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders at all levels.
Team Support & Leadership
- Foster a culture of accountability and collaboration across project teams.
- Provide coaching, direction, and support to ensure team members can achieve project deliverables.
- Continuously develop and apply leadership and interpersonal skills to drive team success.
Governance & Reporting
- Deliver regular status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries highlighting project health, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to project governance, compliance standards, and ITIL best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience (military experience considered).
- 3 years of hands-on experience as a Project Manager with customer-facing responsibilities.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with project financial management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical and business needs into actionable project plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in project management applications/tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent).
- PMP certification (or in progress).
- ITIL certification or knowledge of IT service management principles.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
