Job Overview:
A Kitchen Batch Prep Cook is responsible for daily food preparation, ingredient sourcing, and station organization to ensure efficient, high-quality, and safe service; you will follow preparation lists, manage inventory, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with chefs for menu consistency, often requiring self-starting qualities and strong food safety knowledge. Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare bulk meats, vegetables, poultry, baked goods and other foods for packaging.
- Prepare workstations with required ingredients and equipment to meet production goals.
- Mix Industrial size food batches according to recipes, including measuring, and weighing and storing.
- Handle and store finished products ingredients in accordance with HAACP Standards.
- Daily perform all cleaning and sanitizing of machinery utilized in the working stations.
- Maintain a clean, sterile and safe work area using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment daily.
- Participate in “special attention” projects for the upkeep of the commercial kitchen.
- Complete and submit end-of-day paperwork to Commercial Kitchen Manager for USDA, FDA, and SQF compliance.
- Maintain Food Safety under USDA/FDA/SQF Requirements.
Qualifications:
- Kitchen experience preferred
- Basic knife skills
- Repetitively lifting to 50lbs -Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
