The Route Customer Specialist will be driving along a designated route to deliver pre-ordered products, while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. Job Overview:
CDL-B Route Customer Specialist will securely load the correct orders, ensuring the safe transport of products, and delivery of those products safely and timely to the correct customers. Our regular routes run seven days per week and are almost exclusively evening and night-time hours. The majority of our drivers work 4 to 5 days per week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate all company equipment safely and correctly.
- Work all scheduled shifts and be available to cover additional shifts (within DOT guidelines)
- Deliver loads safely and efficiently.
- Present a pleasant and professional demeanor while representing the company.
- Conduct thorough pre and post vehicle inspections.
- Ensure paperwork is completed fully and accurately.
- Promote teamwork through assisting other drivers as needed.
- Communicate consistently with Logistics Manager and Fulfillment Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-B license w/ air brake endorsement
- Live within thirty (30) miles of Hamtramck distribution center
- Must be at least 21 years old in accordance with Section 391.11(b)(1) of FMCR
- Flexible availability; assigned routes will be for evenings and weekends
- Possess a valid DOT card
- Clean driving record for the prior three (3) years
- Adhere to all DOT regulations related to CDL-B operators.
- Able to pass DOT regulated drug test and background check
