Despite the massive scale of this market, most businesses manage their trading relationships and commerce activities using outdated methods like paper forms, PDFs, emails, faxes, phone calls, and spreadsheets, making processes slow and inefficient.

Much like how Shopify, Stripe and Square have transformed how consumer companies transact, we aim to do the same for B2B companies.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Mid-Market Sales Manager to lead our growing team of Account Executives from our Denver-based LoDo office. In this position, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and scaling a high-performing mid-market sales team focused on organizations with $10M–$1.5B in annual revenue. You will own team quota attainment, coach on effective deal strategies, and drive operational excellence while collaborating across Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and mentor a team of Mid-Market Account Executives, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and success.
  • Revenue Growth: Own team sales targets, ensuring consistent attainment of quota through effective pipeline development and deal execution.
  • Process Management: Establish and refine sales processes for prospecting, qualification, discovery, negotiation, and closing to increase efficiency and win rates.
  • Coaching & Development: Provide real-time coaching on sales calls, strategy sessions, and deal reviews to elevate individual and team performance.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting through CRM discipline and proactive communication with leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing on pipeline generation, Product on feedback and roadmap alignment, and Customer Success on seamless customer handoffs.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure your team deeply understands and addresses finance and accounting stakeholders’ pain points, positioning Nuvo’s platform as a mission-critical solution.
  • Scaling Operations: Contribute to the creation of sales playbooks, training resources, and best practices to accelerate onboarding and drive consistent results.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education & Experience
    • 6–8 years of successful B2B software or SaaS sales experience, with 2–3 years of experience managing a mid-market sales team, preferably within the finance, accounting, or automation space.
  • Mid-Market Sales Management Expertise
    • Track record of leading teams selling into organizations with $10M–$1.5B in revenue, navigating transactional but strategic sales cycles (~26 days avg).
    • Demonstrated success in building and scaling high-performing sales teams that consistently exceed quotas.
  • Leadership & Coaching
    • Strong ability to mentor Account Executives in pipeline development, consultative selling, and negotiation tactics.
    • Skilled at motivating individuals and teams to achieve ambitious goals in a high-growth environment.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Disciplined approach to pipeline management and forecasting, with proficiency in Hubspot (or similar CRM) and sales engagement tools.
    • Data-driven decision maker with the ability to identify trends and implement process improvements.
  • Collaboration & Adaptability
    • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, able to influence and align internal stakeholders.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments where agility and adaptability are key.
