As a Technical Lead, you will be working closely with a team of project managers, developers, and engineers in an Agile environment for developing innovative solutions for our customers. You are also responsible for designing and developing AI and cloud-based solutions. Developing best practices, integrating modern systems, and collaborating cross-functionally with product and data engineering teams.
In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting Nuvitek's mission: To deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.
What you will do:
- Design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions (AWS GovCloud / Azure)
- Develop and manage AI/LLM solutions (RAG pipelines, agent-based workflows)
- Define and enforce architecture standards, review gates, and best practices
- Integrate systems across modern and legacy interfaces (REST, APIs, SOAP, data feeds)
- Implement event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration
- Establish AI guardrails, including prompt security and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver MVP and scale solutions
- Support technical training and knowledge transfer to government stakeholders
- 8 years of experience in software engineering, architecture, or technical leadership roles
- Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GovCloud
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML and LLMs (e.g., Azure OpenAI Service, RAG pipelines)
- Experience designing distributed or event-driven systems
- Strong knowledge of API integrations and multi-system interoperability
- Experience with secure system design (Zero Trust, FedRAMP environments preferred)
- Proficiency in modern programming languages in full-stack environments such as Python, JavaScript and others)
- Strong problem-solving and cross-team collaboration skills
- Experience working on federal or regulated environments
- Experience working in an agile/scrum environment
