Wound Care Physician Per Diem, Danbury, Connecticut (65 miles from New York City)Danbury Hospital, Affiliated with Nuvance Health is seeking a per Diem Physician for Wound Care at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Danbury is located in suburban Fairfield County, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. Competitive hourly rate, eligibility for 401k and wellness program. The ideal candidate should have experience in Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Supervision, but an interest and/or a desire to learn the specialties will be considered and hyperbaric training will be provided to a candidate with wound care experience. Wound care and HBO certification desired but not required. Job Requirements:MD, DO or DPM with CT State License, Federal DEA and State Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).Have successfully completed a relevant US Residency and be Board Certified in your specialty.At least 3 years’ experience as a practicing physician required and some prior Wound Care experience required including some management, leadership or administrative experience and a minimum of 40 hours Hyperbaric certification required to be a Medical Director.Willing to work Monday – Friday, about one day per week (8 hours) sometime between 7 AM – 5 PMBi-lingual Spanish skills a plus Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care.
