Per Diem Hospitalist Norwalk CT (45 miles from NYC)Norwalk Hospital, a part of Nuvance Health is seeking a Per Diem Hospitalist for Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, CT. The ideal candidate is a highly competent, well-trained internist or family practitioner to join our expanding team of inpatient specialist physicians. Norwalk Hospital is a Yale-affiliated community teaching hospital with a robust internal medicine residency program located less than an hour from NYC in beautiful Fairfield County. Work in a collegial work environment with experienced physicians in busy hospital in a family friendly location with close proximity to NYC.Norwalk Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center, is accredited as a Stroke Center and certified to provide Emergency Angioplasty for heart attack. Established in 1893, Norwalk Hospital is a 366 bed, not-for-profit community hospital providing Fairfield and Westchester County residents convenient access to exceptional care, close to home. Job Summary: Provide medical care to patients, assist them to recover from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.Job Requirements: MD or DO with CT State and Federal Narcotic Use RegistrationPreferred: Prior experience as a staff physicianHave successfully completed an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine ResidencyBoard Certified or Board EligibleWillingness to work a minimum of two shifts per month (8, 10 or 12-hour shifts) either weekdays or weekends, Teaching or Non-Teaching (approximately 7 AM – 7 PM) or Nights (7 PM- 7 AM).
