Role Responsibilities
- Inspect spot stains to determine their composition and select appropriate solvents .
- Apply chemicals to neutralize the effects of solvents .
- Sprays steam, water, or air over a spot to flush out chemicals, dry material, raise nap, or brighten color .
- Clean fabric using a vacuum or air hose .
- Spread the garment on a worktable and position the stain over the vacuum head or on a marble slab .
- Apply bleaching powder to spot and spray with steam to remove stains from certain fabrics that do not respond to other cleaning solvents.
- Provide training to associates as needed.
- Willingly takes on additional responsibilities to contribute to team success .
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school degree or GED required
- Knowledge of textiles
- Skillful at removing stains and maintaining the integrity of the fabric
- Must have color vision
- Maintain acceptable attendance and must be able to work overtime as required
- Comprehend and follow work instructions to meet productivity and quality standards
- Stand and walk throughout a shift
- Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
- Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
- Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements
