Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sarasota, FL, responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting. This role manages the preparation and review of receivables, payables, reconciles accounts, monitors expenses, and project costs. The Accounting Manager will support building operations and job costing. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with project management and purchasing teams, maintaining internal controls, and supporting audits and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Hands-on experience with Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes.
- Solid understanding of Finance principles, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; experience in construction or real estate accounting is beneficial.
- Ability to maintain high attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments on-site.
