POSITION OBJECTIVE: This classification requires incumbents to have a higher level knowledge of computer-based applications, information systems and customer support for District staff and parents. Incumbents are responsible for taking calls and providing support regarding IT related software and information system issues and problems, independently resolving higher level issues and communicating with appropriate IT staff regarding more complex issues.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (positions in this class typically require): Vocational training in computer science, electronics, or related field, and two years of related computer repair experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. |

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS: (positions in this class typically require): Licensing Requirements: · Valid Arizona Driver’s License.

KNOWLEDGE: (position requirements at entry): Knowledge of: · Performing algebra and/or geometry; · Reading technical information, composing a variety of documents, and/or facilitating group discussions; · Analyzing situations to define issues and draw conclusions; · Specific knowledge required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job includes: pertinent codes, policies, regulations, and/or laws; · Computer hardware and software. |

SKILLS: (position requirements at entry): Skill in: · Performing multiple, technical tasks with a need to routinely upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions; · Operating equipment utilized in position; · Operating standard office equipment; · Utilize pertinent software applications (Microsoft Office, especially Excel); · Support the planning and management of projects, operating and supporting current Windows servers; · Proficiency in working with SQL databases preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
This job involves traveling within the school district visiting school sites as well as meetings held outside the district.
