Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Registered Dietitian in and surrounding area around San Rafeal CA. The Registered Dietitian will provide medical nutrition therapy, conduct clinical assessments, develop personalized dietary care plans, and monitor progress to support positive health outcomes. Responsibilities include collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting quality assurance initiatives, working on menu development and enhancement, delivering nutritional education to staff and residents, and assisting with survey preparations and dietary training programs. The individual will also support continuous quality improvement efforts and help enhance food service operations.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and clinical assessments
- Skills in menu development, dietary training, and nutritional care planning
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams and residents
- Ability to provide workshops, education programs, and training sessions for healthcare staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; must be a Registered Dietitian
- Experience in long-term care or healthcare settings preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Active RDN license and ability to work on-site in Novato, CA is required
