Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Dining Services Aide to join our Dietary Services team. This individual plays a key role in supporting the nutritional well-being of our residents by ensuring meals are delivered accurately, safely, and with care. The role includes meal preparation support, food service, and cleaning responsibilities in a healthcare setting.
Full time hours 11:00 am - 7:00 pm including every other weekend. Must be willing to get flu vaccine every October as well.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation, portioning, and serving of meals and snacks
- Deliver trays to residents’ rooms or dining areas according to schedule
- Ensure meal accuracy, including texture modifications and special diets
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchen equipment, and food prep areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and other kitchen items using approved sanitation methods
- Replenish supplies in service areas and maintain proper food storage
- Follow all infection control and food safety standards
- Provide respectful and dignified service to all residents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Prior experience in healthcare food service or hospitality is a plus
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Compassionate, dependable, and respectful toward individuals with disabilities
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as needed
