Job Title: Weekend Maintenance Preventative Maintenance Technician

Schedule: Saturday–Sunday (Weekend Shift)
Position Summary:
The Weekend Maintenance PM Technician is responsible for performing scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and minor repairs on production and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. This position focuses on completing PM tasks, inspections, and basic troubleshooting to support equipment reliability during weekend operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems according to PM checklists and maintenance schedules.
- Inspect mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for wear, damage, or malfunction.
- Replace or repair worn components such as belts, bearings, filters, and seals.
- Lubricate machinery and ensure all safety guards and devices are in proper working order.
- Record all maintenance activities, findings, and parts used in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Communicate any critical issues or recommended corrective repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize disruption during maintenance activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facility environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude; basic electrical knowledge a plus.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Familiarity with CMMS or maintenance record systems preferred.
- Basic computer skills (data entry, email, maintenance logs).
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
