Our integrated approach includes nutrition planning, fitness integration, behavior therapy, and pharmacotherapy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Nutrition Planning: Collaborate with dietitians to develop and provide ongoing support for individualized nutrition plans and healthy eating habits.
- Fitness Integration: Incorporate fitness and exercise recommendations into patient treatment plans, working closely with patients to set realistic goals and monitor progress.
- Behavior Therapy: Implement behavior therapy techniques to address emotional and behavioral factors contributing to obesity, providing support to help patients overcome challenges in their weight loss journey.
- Pharmacotherapy: Prescribe medications as part of comprehensive treatment plans, monitoring patient responses and adjusting medications as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Preferred: Experience in weight management, obesity treatment, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
