Key Objective:
Maximize the overall sales and profitability of the Nutrient TECH through effective sales and marketing of its new and existing agriculture products in the USA.
Required Skills/Experience:
BS or BA degree in Ag Science or Business with a minimum of 10 years experience in the Ag Chem industry, and 5 years in “territory” management, focusing on sales and marketing of high-value specialty and ornamental crop products, working with distributors, agricultural consultants, and key growers to accomplish territory objectives. Possess or obtain any state required license (such as CA PCA license). Effective oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, customer service and presentation skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs. Ability to travel (up to 60%) to support area business needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop effective working relationships with Nutrient TECH personnel and with distributor management and staff, suppliers, and end users/customers.
- Identify and communicate product expansion and registration opportunities.
- Assist in critical regulatory issues and provide clear commercial objectives for regulatory affairs and development.
- Manage customer accounts; review and comment on customer contracts and contract amendments (obtaining management approval); establish customer marketing and business plans and maintain regular contact with customers and key influencers to obtain product performance feedback, monitor product flow, and resolve complaints.
- Produce sales reports, expense and promotion budgets, 12-month rolling forecasts, sales, and marketing plans for the region.
- Work closely with internal personnel to identify distribution strategies, product positioning, and marketing/promotional/advertising programs for product range. Obtain approval from Director of Sales and Marketing for the creation and implementation of area marketing and promotional programs.
- Establish, sustain, and enhance the Nutrient TECH image/reputation in the marketplace. In doing so demonstrate the best value we provide our customers with our products, services, and support.
- Keep management apprised of market developments (ag market trends, competitive product information, distribution, etc.) and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain or enhance Nutrient TECH's competitive position.
- Implement and manage Nutrient TECH's credit policies with distribution.
