What You'll Do:
- Provide analytical support to deliver financial results.
- Support the Decision Support team in providing thought leadership that enables the site to make informed, high quality and timely decisions.
- Support the annual operating/capital budgets and monthly forecasting process.
- Provide financial and production performance variance and trend analysis, identifying cost drivers and other insights into financial results including how this affects future decisions of the site.
- Provide valuable insights through the analysis and aggregation of multiple data sets, extracting complex financial outputs in a manner that is understandable and actionable by management.
- Support predictive analysis including key cost drivers or areas of focus through-out the month for the Site to achieve Forecast/Budget.
- Support product costing – reviewing allocation approaches, comparability across sites and aligning where possible to enable better business decisions.
- Provide ad-hoc decision support including analysis & reporting as well as involvement in relevant site level projects to business partners.
- Support various continuous improvement and strategic initiatives across the Plant Finance group and Plant Site.
- Work closely with the site finance team to support the business with interpretation and implementation of accounting policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 6 years relevant experience with accounting cost management.
- Professional accounting or finance designation in progress or attained is preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze data and convert into meaningful information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving skills.
- Reputation as a valued and trusted business partner.
- Able to work independently while meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Excel and Analytical Tools.
- Working knowledge of Oracle and/or SAP/BW.
- Experience with Oracle, SAP/BW, HANA, and larger ERP systems an asset.
