Responsibilities
Reports to Superintendent, Principal, and/or Supervisor of Fine & Performing Arts. In conjunction with the Director, responsibilities include support of the marching band program, including, but not limited to:

Reports to Superintendent, Principal, and/or Supervisor of Fine & Performing Arts. In conjunction with the Director, responsibilities include support of the marching band program, including, but not limited to:
- Coordinate all planning and logistics including scheduling and transportation for band camp.
- Coordinate staffing and supervision during band camp.
- Design, direct, and instruction of high school band.
- Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student's eligibility to participate in band.
- Provide for color guard participation at extracurricular events, including concerts, football games, pep rallies, parades, and other community-based activities.
- Attend all days of band camp.
- Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and board policy.
- Coordinate band booster club for activities during band camp.
- Ensure that programs are cost-effective and funds are managed wisely.
- Maintain current inventory of all fixed assets within department.
- Oversee process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all color guard equipment.
- Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Accompany and supervise students during band camp.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Other duties as assigned
- Appropriate New Jersey Certification or New Jersey Substitute Certification required
