- Earn $63-70K your first year! (Based on experience; see dropdowns below for a full breakdown.
- Increase your earning potential!
- Tenure: $0.01 cpm each year (up to $0.50/mile)
- Driver Scorecard Bonus: $0.02-$0.08/mile (the average driver earns $0.03-$0.05)
- Certified RED Bonus: $0.02/mile
- Door to door practical miles—empty & loaded
- $1,200 - $1,250 weekly guarantee (based on exp). If your miles are short (delays, breakdowns, etc.) you’ll still earn the guaranteed amount.
- Activity pay for the WORK you do, not just the miles you run:
- $20 for pickups and deliveries
- $12 for trailer relays and shuttles
- $20/hour detention pay (starts after 1 hour)
- $270 - $280/day layover pay
- Paid Orientation at Nussbaum Headquarters—$200/day
- Majority of loads are within a 350-mile radius. Some loads may be up to 400 miles, but rarely (if ever) further.
- Hiring in Northeast Illinois into Wisconsin
- Home Weekly! Most workweeks are Mon-Fri, offering full weekends at home. You may occasionally leave Sunday or get home Saturday, but much less frequently than OTR.

- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- At least 6 months of recent experience OR completion of our training program
- Valid CDL A
- No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Meet all other Nussbaum requirements
