We are looking for a VP of Data Analytics and Development. In this role, you'll be responsible for management and oversight of the Business Intelligence, Data Integrations, and Development departments. You'll ensure operational excellence, modernization, and strategic alignment with organizational goals, and lead improvements in reporting, analytics, data warehousing, and the organization’s custom development capabilities. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to design and deliver technology solutions, standardize development processes, ensure service availability, all in alignment with organizational goals. You'll enhance organizational data-driven decision-making, operational efficiency, and member satisfaction through the delivery of innovative technology solutions.

What you'll do:

• Oversees, coordinates, and assists in the daily activity of the Business Intelligence, Data Integrations, and Development departments to include assignment of duties and special projects, monitoring workload and productivity, planning and prioritization, problem resolution, and developing recommendations for change or improvement.
• Oversee the organization’s reporting and dashboarding capabilities modernizing these offerings to support internal customers, improving organizational understanding and speed of decision making.
• Propose and incorporate standards for reporting deliverables and data quality processes.
• Interface with internal data consumers to identify and champion data modernization efforts, driving improvements in reporting capabilities focused on but not limited to Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services. 
• Oversee the organization’s data warehousing environment, ensuring a highly available on-premises SQL Server and Microsoft Azure data environments that meets organizational Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Leads the modernization of the organization’s data storage environment by proposing new technology solutions and developing standards for Extract Transform Load (ETL), storage, governance, and retention. 
• Formalize the custom solution development processes across all development teams to ensure proposed solutions align with customer needs and align to team standards. 
• Oversee the organization’s Microsoft.net, React and Python custom development environments ensuring highly available applications that meet organizational SLAs.
• Lead the modernization of Nusenda’s custom development technology stack and hosting environment. Support the design and development of applications that support members and customers and lead to organizational efficiency improvements. 
• Lead the development of applications, integrations, automated business processes, and information resources which align to business needs and support initiative objectives. 

What you'll need: 

• Eight to ten years of similar or related experience 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field

Key skills and experience: 

• Practical experience with Software Development Lifecycle and Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience leading teams in the following development technologies: .NET, React, SQL Server, and Power BI.
• Strong understanding and proven track record to transition workloads into Microsoft’s cloud computing environment with focuses on the following technologies: Azure SQL Service, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and DevOps.
• Experience in financial services industry is preferred.
• Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information, and handle problem resolution.
• Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills with the ability to work with multiple levels of the organization.
• Strong performance management and leadership skills to provide advisory services to external departments and manage direct reporting staff effectively.
•  Development, performance management, training, and employee counseling skills is essential.

• Must have in-depth understanding of and ability to manage multiple business units and generate both immediate and long-term results.
• Experienced in MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, Outlook, and all internal systems affiliated with the department.
