Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Bilingual Spanish Associate Therapist (AMFT/ACSW) to join our growing trauma-informed private practice. This position offers the flexibility to work a hybrid capacity, allowing clinicians to provide high-quality psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families throughout California.

As part of our collaborative clinical team, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based, client-centered therapy. Your bilingual Spanish skills will help expand access to quality mental health care for Spanish-speaking communities while fostering trust and meaningful therapeutic relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, trauma-informed psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families through hybrid services, based on clinician preference and client needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based, client-centered approaches.
  • Provide therapy for clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, and other mental health concerns.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, attachment-based, somatic, or other clinically appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with practice policies and California BBS standards.
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision and consultation as required for associate clinicians, applying feedback to support ongoing professional growth and licensure requirements.
  • Collaborate with fellow clinicians and supervisors to provide high-quality, ethical, and culturally responsive care.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations, California BBS ethical standards, and all applicable legal requirements.
  • Foster an inclusive, affirming therapeutic environment that honors clients' diverse cultural identities, lived experiences, and personal strengths.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and a commitment to ongoing learning and trauma-informed clinical practice.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related mental health field from an accredited program.
  • Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) in good standing.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish is required to serve bilingual clients effectively.
  • Passion for providing trauma-informed, client-centered psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, attachment-based, somatic, or other relevant therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment while maintaining professionalism, accountability, and timely documentation.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, ongoing professional development, and progress toward California licensure.
  • Previous experience providing psychotherapy is preferred but not required.
