Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among children.
- Assist with daily routines including feeding, diapering, and nap times for younger children.
- Create a structured environment that supports early childhood education principles.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare space to ensure a safe play area.
- Collaborate with other caregivers or educators to enhance the overall childcare experience.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones is essential.
- First aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Experience working with people with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong skills in behavior management and teaching techniques tailored to different age groups.
