Role Description This is a contract Mental Health Therapist role in a hybrid setting, based in Sparks, NV with some work-from-home flexibility. The therapist will provide individual, couple, and family therapy using appropriate clinical modalities, conduct intake assessments, and develop and update treatment plans tailored to each client’s goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining a caseload, documenting sessions and clinical progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards, coordinating care with other providers when needed, and participating in case consultation or supervision. The role also involves supporting crisis intervention within scope of practice, educating clients about coping strategies and community resources, and contributing to a supportive, client-centered practice culture.
Qualifications
- Experience in Mental Health and Family Therapy, with the ability to provide individual and relational counseling.
- Skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to create, monitor, and adjust client care plans.
- Background in Social Work or related helping professions, with knowledge of community resources and support systems.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in a relevant discipline (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or intern equivalent) in the state of Nevada.
- Training in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based therapeutic approaches.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, including comfort with electronic health records.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and maintain professional boundaries in a hybrid environment.
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.
