Director of Nursing (DON)
Location: Kennebec County, Maine

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department in our long-term care/skilled nursing facility. The DON is responsible for the overall administration, planning, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services to ensure the highest quality of resident care while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing operations and clinical services.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality resident care in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
- Direct, supervise, and support nursing managers, RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with CMS, Maine State regulations, and company policies.
- Manage staffing plans, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and employee development.
- Collaborate with physicians, providers, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in survey readiness activities and lead responses to inspections and audits.
- Oversee infection prevention, medication management, and resident safety programs.
- Monitor clinical outcomes and implement process improvements to enhance resident care.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine.
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing leadership experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or post-acute care.
- Previous Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing experience preferred.
Pay: $100,164.56 - $145,768.08 per year
