Additional Details:

• The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is an all-inclusive med/surgery/neuro/cardiac ICU consisting of 14 beds.
• There is 24/7 intensivist coverage and we serve all adult patients requiring critical care. Ratios in the ICU range from 1:1 to 3:1 depending on acuity.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bassett Health Network Float Pool Overview: The Bassett Health Network Float Pool offers flexible staffing across all six facilities within the network. Travelers in this pool must be highly skilled and capable of handling the full scope of their patient load without additional support, ensuring they are prepared to provide holistic care to all patients as needed. The needs for positions in the Float Pool may vary by skillset, and candidates should be adaptable, capable of working across various units and facilities. Flexibility, independence, and a broad skillset are essential for success in this role.

The Critical Care Float Pool will consist of clinicians who can support stepdown and ICU areas across the network.

• Floating Requirements: Travelers will be required to float between all six facilities within the Bassett Health Network as needed and on a daily basis. This role requires flexibility and the ability to adjust to different units and patient care environments throughout the network.
• Strong background in critical care is required
• Experience in emergency departments (ED) is highly preferred
• Must be prepared to float between various facilities, including those with critical access services and ICU units.
• The clinician must have at least 2 years of experience in their discipline (RN, CST, CT Tech, etc.) as well as 2 full years of recent experience in the specialty they are being submitted for (Med/Tele, OR, etc.)
• Prior travel experience is not required, but highly preferred. Bassett provides only one day of orientation, so clinicians must be able to get up to speed quickly.

ABOUT THE FACILITY

Our Center is a 180-bed, acute care inpatient teaching facility in Cooperstown, New York. We offer 24-hour emergency and trauma care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties. The Clinic is located on the same campus as the medical center, and provides outpatient primary and specialty care.
