Nurses Serving Our Neighbors (NSON) is a Charlotte-area ministry founded upon and inspired by the principles of Faith Community Nursing, a specialty practice of the American Nurses Association. Our aim is to empower people (our “neighbors”) to take charge of their wellbeing by strengthening social support and fostering compassionate, whole-person health in body, mind, and spirit.
NSON organizes and supports volunteers (licensed nurses and others) who have a heartfelt desire to walk alongside our neighbors in need of accompaniment and whole-person health advocacy, navigation, and education.
Role Description
The Program Manager (RN) is a licensed nurse who fosters a compassionate, connected volunteer-neighbor relationship. This role serves as a bridge between neighbors, volunteers, and available resources. The Program Manager (RN) blends operational coordination with relational care, promoting whole-person health across the neighbors served by NSON.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina and relevant nursing experience
- Experience in program management, including planning and coordinating healthcare or community health programs
- Skills in patient advocacy, care coordination, and healthcare navigation
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a part-time hybrid work environment
- Experience or interest in faith-based or non-profit services is a plus
- Flexibility to travel within the local Charlotte community when needed
