LPN / RN School Nursing Opportunities (1:1 Pediatric Care)

Location: Charlotte, NC and surrounding school zones (Zip Codes: 28078, 28215, 28212, 28227, 28202, 28205)

Pay Range: $32.50 – $42.00/hour (based on license type and acuity level)

Schedule: Monday through Friday (school days only) | Full-time, Part-time, and PRN Available – with options ranging from 1 day per week to full 5-day assignments.

We welcome nurses with backgrounds in acute care, home health, homecare, private duty, and long-term care who bring pediatric experience and a passion for 1:1 care. Nurses from acute care and hospital settings also love continuing the journey with pediatric patients in school environments and appreciate the flexibility and RN-led clinical oversight we provide.

Nurses and More is hiring compassionate and experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide 1:1 pediatric care for medically fragile students in the school setting and during transportation. These are private-duty assignments designed to support students with medical, mobility, behavioral, or neurological conditions.

Whether you're seeking a full-time school-year schedule or PRN flexibility, we have consistent opportunities with long-term student placements throughout the Charlotte area.

Nurses from acute care and hospital settings love continuing the journey with pediatric patients in school environments and appreciate the flexibility and RN-led clinical oversight we provide.

_ Current RN / LPN Openings Include:

• Students requiring seizure monitoring, emergency med response, and enteral feedings
• Assignments involving trach care, oxygen management, or mobility support
• Full-care support for students with developmental, physical, or behavioral needs
• Some students require care related to: cerebral palsy, scoliosis, Hoyer lifts, or asthma management
• RN-only assignments available for medically complex care
  
  

Assignments available in ZIP codes 28078, 28227, 28212, 28215, 28205, and 28202.

_ Key Responsibilities:

• Medication administration and seizure protocol response
• G/J-tube feedings, trach care, oxygen administration
• ADL support: hygiene, toileting, mobility, feeding
• Behavioral support and de-escalation, when needed
• Documentation and communication with families and school teams
• Riding school transportation as needed for continuity of care
  
  

_ Qualifications:

• Active RN or LPN license in North Carolina
• CPR Certification (no online-only courses accepted)
• RNs: 1 year of RN experience in the last 3 years or prior 1 year LPN experience
• LPNs: 1 year of pediatric or clinical experience in the last 3 years
• Preferred: Experience with medically complex, seizure-prone, or non-verbal students
• Note: Higher-acuity roles may require 6 months relevant experience and online skills checklist
