The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients fordiagnostic purposes and fulfilling the goals and objectives of Advanced Pain Care.
Responsibilities:
- Performs medical radiologic procedures using ionizing radiation.
- Adhere to the principles of radiation protection for the client, self, and others.
- Explain procedures to client and position the client properly.
- Provide service to customers that is timely, responsive, courteous, positive, and promotes excellence.
- Deliver quality service by using positive collaborative communication and problem solving with staff and physicians.
- Operates diagnostic x-ray equipment in accordance with the prevailing quality and safety standards.
- Maintains x-ray equipment in a clean and orderly manner and keeps designated area or room in a satisfactory arrangement to produce an optimal working environment.
- Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and promotes the highest standards of professional and ethical client care.
- Respects client’s rights and maintains confidentiality.
- Updates knowledge and skills by attending in-services, conferences, and continuing education programs.
- The following tasks are also considered essential functions of the position:
- Lifting unspecified weights, depending on assignment requirements.
- Bending and stooping to prepare equipment and materials for treating clients or managing the client’s environment.
- Transferring, turning and positioning clients and assisting clients in walking and moving from place to place.
The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients fordiagnostic purposes and fulfilling the goals and objectives of Advanced Pain Care.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program in an AMA approved school.
- Must be certified or eligible to be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Currently licensed in state where the technologist practices.
- A minimum of one year’s experience as a Licensed Radiologic Technologist in a supervised setting within the past three (3) years.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- 1 year experience as a CNA in the last 3 years in a supervised setting preferred
- Current CPR in compliance with the American Heart Association standards
- Current CNA licensure in the State of Texas
- 1-year experience preferred
