We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team within a comprehensive behavioral health setting. Our facility provides a broad range of programs for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, offering multiple levels of care including inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient services.
Position Summary
The RN plays a key role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care and maintaining a therapeutic environment across all treatment areas. Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, overseeing clinical interventions, and coordinating with physicians and the broader treatment team. The RN also provides clinical leadership by guiding and supporting other nursing staff to ensure consistent, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient admissions and nursing assessments
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Provide therapeutic and medical interventions within RN scope of practice
- Contribute to management to maintain a safe, therapeutic setting
- Support performance improvement initiatives and compliance with clinical standards
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and effective communication with the healthcare team
- Participate in ongoing professional development and competency enhancement
Physical Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and the public
- Tolerance for varying noise levels, from quiet to moderate
- Ability to move throughout the facility and remain seated or stationary for extended periods
- May require talking, hearing, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds
Qualifications
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required)
Licensure & Certifications:
- ACTIVE RN licensure in the State of Pennsylvania
- CPR certification
- BLS certification
- Hospital-approved de-escalation/crisis intervention training
Experience:
- Psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred
Shifts
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Orientation: A paid 4-hour orientation is provided once the first shift is accepted.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
