Position Summary
Nurse Next Door Central Valley & Bay Area is seeking compassionate, dependable, and client-focused Certified Home Health Aides (HHA) to join our growing team. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide hands-on personal care and support services to clients in the comfort of their homes while working under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene support
- Assist with feeding, meal preparation, and hydration reminders
- Support mobility, transfers, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises
- Take and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or behavioral changes to the supervising nurse
- Assist clients with medication reminders and self-administration support
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy home environment
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and bed linen changes
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
- Follow infection control protocols and Universal Precautions
- Accurately document care provided and client observations
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations
- Protect client privacy, dignity, confidentiality, and rights at all times
Qualifications
- Current California Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification
- Active status on the California Home Health Aide Registry
- Completion of a CDPH-approved HHA training program
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year caregiving or home care experience preferred
- CPR certification preferred
- Current TB clearance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, professional, and dependable demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a care team
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, twist, push, and pull
- Ability to assist with transfers and mobility support
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in varying home environments
