Responsibilities
- Safely operate handicap assessible passenger vans to transport clients on routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and state transportation regulations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing courteous support especially for those with mobility challenges or special needs.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and client information while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and company policies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
- Communicate effectively with the scheduling/billing corrdinator and/or clients to confirm appointments, provide route updates, and address any concerns professionally.
- Follow all traffic regulations, including those specific to chauffeur driving, paratransit services, school bus driving, or limousine operations as applicable.
- Manage heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading mobility aids or luggage while maintaining proper manual handling techniques.
Experience
- Prior experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, shuttle driver, or in medical transportation is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or shuttle buses safely and responsibly.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments.
- Knowledge of local driving routes and adherence to state transportation regulations is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse clients.
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks related to transporting mobility aids or personal belongings.
- Must possess a valid Minnesota driver's license and maintain a safe driving record that meets company insurance and Minnesota NEMT requirements.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
