We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our contractor network to provide professional vascular access services throughout the Birmingham area.
Position Summary
As a Vascular Access Registered Nurse, you will provide expert peripheral vascular access services. Assignments are offered based on client needs, and contractors may work based on their availability.
Responsibilities
- Perform peripheral IV catheter insertions
- Perform ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertions (preferred)
- Obtain blood specimens through venipuncture
- Assess patients for appropriate vascular access
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation as required by the client facility
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams
Qualifications
- Active Alabama Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- Emergency Department, ICU, Vascular Access, Infusion, or Procedural experience preferred
- Ultrasound-guided vascular access experience preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Excellent venipuncture and IV insertion skills
- Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
Schedule
This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
Assignments are offered based on needs. Contractors have the flexibility to accept or decline available assignments based on their availability.
Typical assignment hours may include early morning and afternoon coverage depending on client requests.
Compensation
