At Nurse First, we are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our travel team in Louisville, Kentucky. This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift schedule.
Job Description
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist with Nurse First, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your primary focus will be on assessing patients' respiratory needs, developing treatment plans, and administering therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough respiratory assessments to identify patients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of employment.
- Associate's degree or higher in respiratory therapy or related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
