What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roofing Sales Pro position at NuRoof Restorations?
This is the hardest job in roofing — and we pay like it. Door-to-door sales is how this industry runs. It takes grit, consistency, and the ability to have real conversations with strangers every single day. If that sounds like you, the earning potential here is real.
Most people can't do this job. We're not looking for most people.
To hit the top end of our pay range, you could be working more than 40 hours a week — including weekends. These numbers are real and they're earned, not handed out. If you're willing to put in the work, the money follows.
WHY NUROOF
We've been operating in Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley for over five years, and we've built our reputation the hard way — door by door, roof by roof. We're not a national call center with a roofing division. We're a tight, fast-growing local team that knows these markets, knows the insurance process, and has a track record of getting homeowners taken care of.
- Locally rooted — five years serving Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley with boots on the ground
- Full-cycle process — we handle everything from the first knock to the finished roof
- Real growth path — many of our current closers and team leads started exactly where you're starting
- Community focused — we work in these neighborhoods, we take care of them
THE PATH
Months 1–3 | Canvasser | $6,000–$20,000/month Knock doors, set appointments, learn the business.
Month 4 | Sales Closer | $9,000–$20,000 /month Leads provided — your canvassers work for you.
Once you graduate to closer, we build a canvassing team that sets appointments for you. You don't go back to the doors — you run the deals.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING
- Working storm-affected neighborhoods door-to-door, every day
- Starting conversations with homeowners about roof damage and the insurance claims process
- Setting appointments for our inspection and sales team
- Learning our sales system, target areas, and how to read a neighborhood
- Putting in consistent, disciplined hours
WHAT YOU BRING — WHAT WE TEACH
You bring:
- Consistency — showing up every day, not just on good days
- Discipline — working a full day without someone standing over you
- Conversational skills — you can talk to people, build quick rapport, handle a "no"
We teach:
- How to pitch at the door — proven scripts that work
- How to identify storm damage and walk homeowners through the claims process
- How to target the right neighborhoods and maximize every shift
- Our full business model — so you can answer any question at the door
TRAINING & SUPPORT
We don't hand you a script and send you out alone. From day one you'll be trained by people who are actively doing this job and winning at it. We cover everything — the pitch, the process, the neighborhoods, and the insurance claims conversation. You'll know exactly what to say and exactly where to go.
Beyond the initial training, we work with you to set clear weekly and monthly goals so you always know where you stand and what you're working toward. Your team lead is in your corner — tracking your progress, helping you break through plateaus, and making sure you have everything you need to hit your numbers. We want you to succeed. The better you do, the better we do.
