Job Overview
Outside Sales & Showroom Sales Representative will take on a dual role as both a showroom sales consultant and an outside sales representative (with the majority of work hours spent visiting customers and developing the market). This position is responsible for business development and market expansion across South New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Delaware.
We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a high level of drive and hunger for sales success. You must be able to actively develop potential clients such as cabinet/closet manufacturers, cabinet/closet retailers, builders, contractors, and interior designers. Most of your time will be spent visiting prospects in person, introducing our products, securing showroom displays, and continuously driving sales opportunities toward closing.
When working in the showroom, you will invite targeted customers to visit, present NUOMI’s full product portfolio, provide professional product information, and use 2020 Design or Coohom when needed to assist customers with accessory layout and design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Territory Development
Proactively identify and acquire new customers within the kitchen cabinetry, closet, building, and design industries. Conduct regular in person visits to cabinet manufacturers, closet manufacturers, cabinet/closet retailers, builders, contractors, and designers to generate new business opportunities and close orders.
2. Showroom Product Placement & Display Development
Use NUOMI’s showroom display policy to secure product placements in customer showrooms. Leverage strong in person presentation skills and effective virtual communication to help clients successfully showcase NUOMI’s core products in their displays.
3. Data-Driven Sales Execution
Analyze customer purchasing behavior to identify pain points and match them with NUOMI product solutions. Collect and report market insights—such as competitor pricing and industry trends—to help the company tailor regional strategies and provide stronger sales support.
4. Continuous Learning & Product Expertise
Maintain a strong learning mindset and develop in depth knowledge of NUOMI's product features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Present yourself as a knowledgeable professional to earn customer trust and drive sales.
5. Customer Support & After-Sales Coordination
Assist customers with basic installation guidance when needed. Act as a communication bridge between customers and NUOMI to ensure smooth troubleshooting and timely resolution of after sales issues.
6. Weekly Reporting & Feedback
Provide weekly updates on progress, customer feedback, and market insights. NUOMI values team input and will adjust strategies or policies when necessary to support your success in the field.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 2 years of sales experience, preferably in outside sales within hardware or the kitchen cabinetry or closet industry.
- Strong drive and hunger to succeed; motivated to take ownership of market development as part of a growing, startup style team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide consultative solutions to customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and GSuite (Drive, Docs, Sheets) for daily operations.
- Proficiency in 2020 Design or Coohom is required; CAD drawing skills are preferred.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel within the assigned territory for client visits.
- Multilingual abilities — Mandarin are a plus, but not required.
