Financial Advisor
Department: Numerica Financial Services
Report To: NFS President
SUMMARY:
With the goal of enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities this
position serves Numerica members by helping them assess their financial goals, needs,
and objectives by providing exceptional personalized service and investment solutions.
This position is responsible for meeting with new and existing clients, reviewing
investment goals, preparing presentations, recommending investment products,
following up on client contacts, closing the sale of investment and securities brokerage
products, and managing client relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.

- The role of Financial Advisor is helping members of the credit union plan and manage
their investments based on the members risk tolerance, time horizon, and suitability.
Build long-term relationships and serve as a trusted advisor providing ongoing
guidance.
- Understand client’s and prospective client’s needs, priorities, and concerns to earn
trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies to help clients achieve their
goals.
- Create processes to ensure high-quality, streamlined client experience consistent
with the broker dealer and credit union’s policies and procedures, regulatory
requirements and ethical guidelines.
- Create a highly engaging environment in the branches of mutual trust, respect,
feedback, and accountability.
- Work independently with support from sales assistants and broker-dealer back-office
support resources.
- Consistently generate a minimum of 15 to 20 appointments or member/client reviews
per week with prospects and existing clients.
- Meet or exceed assigned monthly and/or annual sales and production goals.
- Have a deep understanding of products and services provided, including Financial
Planning, Brokerage, Insurance, and Advisory solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the credit union branches to identify potential opportunities.
- Provide referral training and compliance reviews of policies and regulatory
requirements for conducting investment services inside assigned branches.
- Attend all required department meetings, dialogs, and offsite training.
- Maintains knowledge and adheres to all BSA regulations and compliance standards
on internal and external policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no formal, direct supervisory responsibilities although will work with
leaders and peers in the organization to drive results.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Contributes to the organization's mission statement and goals by providing the highest
quality of service, treating each person professionally - with warmth, courtesy, and
respect, and making a personal effort to make members feel they belong and are
important to the credit union.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus 3-5 years experience in financial services or
brokerage/investment services, or equivalent education and experience in the sales or
financial services industry.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- FINRA Series 6,7,63/65 or 66
- Life, Health and Disability Insurance

This position has a $6,716.66 monthly salary against commissions. The annual draw against commission will be re-evaluated at the one (1) year of hire date.
Participation in the Financial Advisor Commission Plan.
