What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Opener position at NuMark Credit Union?

As a Mortgage Loan Opener, you will be responsible for initiating the loan process after a mortgage loan is submitted. Your thoroughness and attention to detail will be crucial in moving mortgage loans efficiently through the pipeline. You will play an important role in helping our members turn their financial dreams into reality.
What You'll Do:
- Reviews new loan files daily for accuracy input from origination staff.
- Completes data entry of loan data within Encompass LOS and NuMark Mortgage applications.
- Reviews all loan file documentation uploaded to Encompass LOS for accuracy and completeness including but not limited to income, assets, DU, sales contract etc.
- Places order requests included but not limited to: appraisal, flood cert, title commitment, condominium/PUD documents, verifications of deposits, employment, loans and mortgages.
- Reviews each loan for compliance with all regulatory and investor guidelines.
- Maintains data integrity of system data fields.
- Maintains adequate control of files to ensure compliance with all consumer protection statutes/ regulations in a defined area of responsibility.
- Audits appropriate loan files/materials for post-closing as necessary. Ensure all materials are error-free before selling loans to FHLBC and Fannie Mae.
- Responsible for compliance with all BSA policies, procedures, and regulations within the area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
- A minimum H.S. Diploma and 2 years of related mortgage experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Encompass required.
- Good communication and ability to exhibit positive interpersonal skills with both members and staff.
- Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize.
- Highly energetic and motivated individual.

The budgeted compensation range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 per hour (non-exempt). Individual rates vary based on skills and experience. This position is also eligible to operational performance bonuses.
