Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and other food items.
- Assist the chef with basic cooking tasks and food preparation.
- Receive and properly store deliveries, checking expiration dates and stock rotation.
- Dispose of kitchen waste and follow recycling procedures.
- Follow all hygiene and food safety standards.
- Keep the kitchen organized and tidy during the shift.
- Help with opening and closing duties, including kitchen setup and cleaning.
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen experience is a plus but not required
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Good physical condition and ability to stand for long periods
- Punctual, reliable, and responsible
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
