What are the responsibilities and job description for the BHO Extraction Assistant position at Nuhi Distribution?
The primary role of this position will be to assist the BHO extraction technician using specialized laboratory equipment, solvents, and pressure to extract valuable compounds like cannabinoids and terpenes from cannabis plants. Due to the use of flammable and explosive materials, the role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

The ideal candidate for this position must have the following qualifications to meet the job standards:
Required
- MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR OF EXTRACTION AND REFINEMENT EXPERIENCE REQIRED. RESUME MUST REFLECT RELIVANT EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED. THANK YOU
- Current and Valid MED Badge
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing environment
- Ability to stand for 8 hours a day
- Ability to life 50lbs, multiple times a day
Preferred
- 1 year - Marijuana Infused Products experience
- 1 year - Hydrocarbon Extraction experience
- 1 year - Solventless Extraction experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that all activities are performed safely and in strict accordance with company policy guidelines; maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Commits to schedule specified by managers as dictated by production needs.
- Performs pre-extraction duties including
-Batch record documentation
-Sock packing
-Inputting data into drive logs
-Cleaning and preparation of extraction equipment
-Setting up bubble bags, ice, water & freeze drier
-Powering on chillers and heaters when needed
- Performs Primary Extraction duties using Closed Loop Hydrocarbon extraction, solventless & distillation for the production of high quality concentrates and finished products.
- Performs post-extraction duties including
-Documentation and batch progress tracking
-Post-Processing procedures for oven work and purging
-Operating rosin press and freeze drier
-Knowledge of making badder, wax, sugar, shatter, jam and/or distillate is a plus but not needed. Willing to train the right candidate
-Equipment/Dishware clean up and preparation
- Maintains clean and tidy lab equipment and facilities
- Other duties as assigned
