Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in various care settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and private residences. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with mental health, developmental disabilities, seniors, or mentally ill. This role involves assisting clients with daily living activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Duties
- Provide direct support to clients in daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients' health conditions.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, including the use of equipment such as Hoyer lifts for client transfers.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving roles such as home health aide, nursing assistant, or direct support professional is preferred.
- Familiarity with individuals with mental, physical, or developmental disabilities, and seniors who needs structure support a nurturing environment, help with basic needs and a family like setting
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience in long-term care settings or hospice care will be beneficial.

Requirements
- Must be able to work full-time 3 - 12 hour shift per week
- Must be able to attend a two day orientation 9 AM to 230PM
- Must be able to rotate weekends (every other: Saturday & Sunday)
- Must be able to pass a background check, complete physical, and TB test
- Must have experience assisting clients with ADLs
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must have reliable transportation that can stay in your possession, the duration of the 12 hour shift
- Must be compassionate, patient, reliable, and hard-working
- Must not sleep during either shift
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
