Ice Cream Shop General Manager

Nuggs Ice Cream is looking for a General Manager for our local family owned Ice Cream shop in Denver! Nuggs uses only local dairies and sources as many local ingredients as possible. All of our ice cream is made in house daily!

We are looking for a customer service all-star who shares our passion for serving the best ice cream to our amazing Denver community. We are searching for an outgoing, friendly, responsible and personable individual that loves the task of pleasing people. Must be clean, organized and possess strong time management skills. Must be comfortable with leading and managing a team of 10-20 employees. Must be reliable, accountable and able to address conflict. Capable of working with and managing a young staff. Must have experience in hiring, training and supervising staff. Responsible for all product ordering, inventory control, cost tracking, labor management and P&L management. Applicants must have access to a vehicle, a valid driver's license and consent to a background check.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare staff schedules and ensure the store is staffed properly for all shifts. An understanding that a GM is on-call and will be required to "cover" if a shift is understaffed or an unforeseen situation arises.
• Assembling, decorating, packaging, and pricing ice cream cakes
• Creating both custom and standard ice cream cakes
• Adhere to all company policies, operate within all food cost and labor targets, understand all onboarding procedures for new hires.
• Familiarity with Employment Practices that create an inclusive and supportive work environment for all employees.

• Timely filling of all orders including Catering orders
• Organizing and managing all inventory
• Strong at multi-tasking and maintaining a clean and organized store
• Coordinating and setting up all Catering Events including Ice Cream Truck Rental

Skills

• Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, Barista or management role in a similar field
• Familiarity with cake decoration
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Team oriented with a customer-focused attitude
• Flexibility to work both morning and evening shifts
