Nuevo Sendero, Inc. is a public 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 2007, with our headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The organization is primarily supported through volunteers and contributions from local supporters in our community. We are dedicated to promoting and maintaining public awareness of domestic violence, sexual abuse and family relationships. These services are provided through education, family counseling, workshops and other special programs to the families and youth in our community.
We primarily work with Hispanic families of diverse backgrounds in several communities in Orange, Osceola and Volusia Counties.
Summary:
The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in promoting the organization's mission by developing and implementing effective outreach strategies. This position requires a combination of program development, administrative, and communication skills. The successful candidate will have experience in social media management, public speaking, volunteer management, data collection, and project management.

CEO/Founder
Essential Functions / Tasks:
- Develop and implement outreach programs to promote the organization's mission and services
- Coordinate and oversee outreach events, workshops, and presentations
- Collaborate with community partners to identify outreach opportunities and establish partnerships
- Manage social media platforms to increase visibility and engagement
- Conduct public speaking engagements to raise awareness about the organization's initiatives
- Handling public relations, such as developing strategic relationships, attending tradeshows, and conducting informational presentations at universities, clubs, and civic groups.
- Developing press releases, brochures, and other marketing materials.
- Provide administrative support for outreach activities, including scheduling, logistics, and record keeping
- Supervise volunteers involved in outreach efforts
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach strategies
- Organizing outreach events, including sales, marketing, and planning, to promote the services of the organization and receive donations.
- Collecting and analyzing data on local demographics, developing results, and presenting the conclusions to the relevant departments.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA):
- To be a successful outreach coordinator, you should have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- You should also be skilled in the use of institutional databases and research methods, as well as in handling administrative duties.
- Proven experience in program development and implementation
- Strong administrative skills, including organization and attention to detail
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices
- Experience in volunteer management and supervision
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data for reporting purposes
- Project management skills to coordinate multiple outreach initiative
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, social services, or related field.
- 2-3 years' experience in the field may be advantageous.
- Strong industry knowledge.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
- Experience with institutional databases, public access sites, and primary research skills.
- Good reporting, technical, and statistical skills.
- Experience with budget management.
