Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs across grade levels. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, and culturally competent.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide direct instruction, accommodations, and modifications to meet student needs
Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion practices
Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation
Communicate regularly with families and related service providers
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
Uphold the school’s commitment to bilingual education and inclusive excellence
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
Valid RI teaching certification in Special Education
Experience working in diverse, multilingual school settings preferred
Bilingual (English and Spanish) strongly preferred
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
