Interventionist – English Language Development (ELD)
Reports To: Building Principal / Director of Multilingual Learner Services
Position Overview: Nuestro Mundo Public Charter School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered English Language Development (ELD) Interventionist to support multilingual learners in developing English language proficiency and achieving academic success. The ELD Interventionist will provide targeted language instruction and intervention services to students while collaborating closely with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure equitable access to curriculum and instruction.

Essential Responsibilities:
* Provide whole-group, small-group, and individualized English language development instruction aligned to students’ language proficiency levels
* Lead targeted intervention lessons focused on developing listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English
* Support students in accessing grade-level content through language-focused instructional strategies
* Collaborate with classroom teachers to support language acquisition within core instruction
* Use assessment data to identify student needs, monitor progress, and adjust instruction accordingly
* Assist with the administration and analysis of language proficiency assessments
* Develop and implement intervention plans for multilingual learners
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention services
* Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies
* Participate in grade-level meetings, MTSS processes, and professional development opportunities
* Support culturally responsive practices and promote an inclusive school environment
* Perform other duties as assigned by administration
Qualifications:
* RI Teaching Certification in ESL/ELL, TESOL, Bilingual Education, Reading Specialist, or related field preferred
* Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
* Experience working with multilingual learners in an educational setting
* Knowledge of second language acquisition and effective ELD instructional practices
* Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
* Ability to analyze student data and provide targeted interventions
