Position Overview

The Media Manager is a hybrid creative-operations role responsible for overseeing all aspects of media production — from concept to delivery. This position requires a hands-on leader who can direct and manage editing workflows, ensure smooth operational coordination, shoot high-quality video and photo content, and maintain creative consistency across all Nuculture projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in editing, production, and team management; thrives in a fast-paced creative environment; and can manage both people and processes with precision while communicating effectively with clients.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Direction & Oversight

• Supervise and guide video editors, photographers, and graphic designers to maintain brand quality and consistency.
• Provide clear creative direction on edits, music selection, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Review, revise, and approve content across multiple client accounts (including NPLA, LoanGeek, Monmouth Arts, and more).
• Collaborate with leadership to conceptualize new media series, campaigns, and branded content.

Production & Content Creation

• Lead on-site and studio shoots for clients and Nuculture projects — including interviews, events, and product shoots.
• Operate professional camera equipment, lighting, and audio setups.
• Capture high-quality video and photo content for social, digital, and long-form media.
• Assist in creative scripting, storyboarding, and directing on set.

Editing & Post-Production

• Provide hands-on editing support when needed using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and related software.
• Manage and optimize file organization, naming conventions, and delivery workflows on Nuculture’s QNAP server.
• Ensure all content is properly color graded and aligned with brand standards.
• Troubleshoot and refine editing systems to enhance efficiency and quality.

Client Communication & Account Management

• Serve as a direct point of contact for assigned clients, managing timelines, expectations, and creative approvals.
• Lead client meetings to review deliverables, capture feedback, and align on project goals.
• Maintain detailed updates and reports within Monday.com and Dropbox for client transparency and internal organization.
• Uphold Nuculture’s reputation for excellence through professionalism, clear communication, and consistent follow-through.

Operations & Team Management

• Oversee daily operations of the media department, ensuring project timelines and deliverables are met.
• Coordinate shoot schedules, editor assignments, and deliverable tracking through Monday.com.
• Maintain communication between departments to align client deliverables and creative strategy.
• Mentor junior staff and interns, providing constructive feedback and skill development opportunities.
• Report to the President and Vice President on production status, project progress, and team performance.

Brand & Client Alignment

• Support the development of Nuculture’s visual brand identity and ensure cohesive representation across all content.
• Attend client meetings as needed to understand creative direction and goals.
• Ensure all media deliverables reflect Nuculture’s mission of innovation, quality, and cultural impact.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in video production, editing, and management.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom).
• Strong skills in color grading, lighting, cinematography, and sound design.
• Proven experience managing creative teams and coordinating production timelines.
• Excellent communication and client management abilities.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Monday.com, Dropbox, HubSpot, and QNAP storage systems.

Preferred Skills

• Drone operation and certification (a plus).
• Experience in motion graphics and advanced video effects.
• Passion for storytelling, culture, and innovation.
