Our Grand Rapids MI location is currently seeking an IT Manager. This role will oversee IT operations and Infrastructure. The Senior Desktop Support Technician role will report directly to this resource, and this resource will oversee and manage the ongoing relationship of the MSP for Infrastructure support. This role will take part in strategic planning and ensure that we develop and prioritize technology initiatives according to Nucraft’s organizational goals. Additional tasks and responsibilities include:
· Overseeing maintenance and operation of computer systems (including servers and endpoints).
· Budget Management for hardware and technology tools and supplies.
· Project Management for all general IT initiatives (does not include enterprise applications like ERP).
· Security management.
· Policy development.
· Troubleshooting and support.
· Staying abreast of emerging technologies.
Educational and Technical Requirements include:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, network administration or related technical field is preferred.
· 2 -5 years of IT Management experience specific to help desk/end user support.
· Proven experience with planning and delivering IT projects in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong problem-solving ability.
· Proven ability to develop IT strategy that is aligned with a Company’s vision.
