About the Role:
Nucor Steel Berkeley is seeking an Entry‑Level Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early‑career professionals (up to 5 years of experience) who want hands‑on experience, real responsibility, and long‑term growth opportunities in a manufacturing environment.
This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Basic Job Functions:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Supporting cash management, inventory accounting, and fixed asset management
- Assisting with forecasting, cost analysis, and expense reviews
- Supporting special projects and process improvements
- Working collaboratively with finance, operations, and other departments

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Relevant coursework or academic projects will be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship, co‑op, or early‑career accounting or finance experience
- Interest in pursuing CMA certification or a related graduate degree
- Manufacturing or cost accounting exposure
- Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems
- Willingness to relocate for future opportunities within Nucor
