Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced EHS Sustainability Coordinator to join our team at Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southeast in Riverside, AL. In this critical role, you will drive positive results in our Environmental, Health, and Safety Departments, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Your expertise will help us build a World-Class Rebar Fabrication facility, prioritizing safety performance and promoting a culture of excellence within our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead safety performance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
- Conduct safety training and culture-building activities with branch teammates
- Collaborate with peer EHS teammates across NRF to share best practices and ensure consistency
- Prepare content and facilitate regular Toolbox and Safety Meetings
- Audit facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures
- Audit and organize safety logs, sign-off sheets, and other regulatory documents
- Assist with annual safety reviews, PPE assessments, equipment certifications, and other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience and certifications preferred
- Willingness to work unplanned overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Fundamental computer skills and ability to learn Intelex software
