Basic Job Functions:
The responsibilities of the Production programmer include but are not limited to: Creating nesting programs for hardware, shells, etc. in plate and coil for production needs. Entering those programs into the ERP software for consumption. Working with the production control team to manage schedule of production through the shop.Verifying and staging of raw materials and consumables used for job specific production process.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficiency in ProNest, Alma Cam, or similar CNC part nesting software.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and procedures.
- Steel burn/laser table experience.
- Production tracking and production planning experience.
- D-365 experience.
