Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Towers & Structures (NTS) has an opening for the position of EHS Coordinator to support site EHS initiatives within a heavy manufacturing environment, including galvanizing operations for the New Ross, IN facility.
This role provides hands-on safety and environmental support to operations, partners with leadership to reduce risk, and helps ensure compliance with regulatory and Nucor EHS standards. Experience supporting galvanizing safety or hot-dip galvanizing operations is strongly preferred. The responsibilities of an EHS Coordinator include but are not limited to maintaining the Safety, Health Management Systems (SHMS); Interacting with all division teammates to ensure plant understanding of and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; Developing, organizing, and delivering safety training; Monitoring contractor safety programs/performance, workers’ compensation and industrial health program; Participating in Division and company safety activities, initiatives and audits; Reviewing, developing and authoring safety, equipment, and operating policies/procedures and managing plant security.

Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 2 years related experience within an industrial setting or a degreed safety professional with 2 year experience in an industrial setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OHSAS 14001 & 18001 OHSMS Systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Active involvement in division safety culture and programs
