Basic Job Functions:
Compensation $73,757.00 – 143,000.00 per year. (Position is an hourly position and eligible for a production bonus and profit-share)
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance on hydraulics, pneumatics, centralized lubrication systems, alignments, power transmission, and pumps/piping in a steel hot mill and/or meltshop.
- Must have experience in: Repairing, installing, adjusting, and maintaining industrial steel production and processing machinery, hydraulic, pneumatic and water piping distribution systems using blueprints and manuals. Replacing rollers, conveyors, belts, and drive shafts used in Raw material handling systems containing alloys and DRI. Reviewing mechanical and electrical schematics for core plant systems, including compressors, gearboxes, motors, ID and FD Fans, pumps, and vessels using AutoCad and/or Auto ISO. Checking fluid levels and repairing Directional Control Valves (DCV), and Hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders. Generated work orders, document repairs, order requisitions, and update Plant Maintenance schedule utilizing Oracle or DataStream computerized maintenance management systems.
- Work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime. 5% travel required to attend meetings and trainings (domestic and international).
